How to Program a Garage Door Opener in a Chevy Tahoe

    • 1). Turn off the car's engine. The HomeLink feature for the Chevy Tahoe cannot be programed while the car is running.

    • 2). Hold down the two outside buttons on the HomeLink device. Lights on the device will begin blinking red rapidly. This will erase previous programming.

    • 3). Release the buttons once it rapidly blinks red. Choose the HomeLink button you wish to link to your garage door.

    • 4). Hold the garage door remote about 2 inches from the HomeLink buttons. Be sure you can still see the indicator lights on the HomeLink device.

    • 5). Press the garage remote button and the selected HomeLink button at the same time. Hold both buttons until the indicator light begins to quickly blink red. Release both buttons once the rapid blinking occurs. Test the Chevy Tahoe HomeLink device to see whether the programming was successful.
