How to Remove the Radio in a 2007 Chevy Avalanche

    • 1). Place the panel-removal tool under the bezel that goes around the radio, between the dash and the bezel itself, under the climate controls. Push the panel tool down to free the clips that hold the bezel in place. Pull the bezel off the dashboard by hand.

    • 2). Remove the two climate-control assemblies from the dashboard using the ratchet and socket set. Lift the panels away from the dashboard and unplug the harnesses connected to them, using your hands.

    • 3). Remove the four screws holding the stereo to the dashboard using the ratchet and socket. Slide the stereo out of the dashboard. Unplug the antenna lead from the back of the stereo, as well as the wiring harness.
