How to Reset a Crime Guard Alarm

    Access Programming Mode

    • 1). Turn the vehicle's ignition on and then turn the ignition off in order to access the programming mode.

    • 2). Press and release the "Valet Switch" five times within five seconds. The siren will then sound or "chirp" briefly and the status light will flash to confirm that the system is entering Programming Mode.

    • 3). Reset a feature.

    Accessing and Resetting a Feature

    • 1). Press and release the "Valet Switch" the same amount of times it takes to reach the desired feature's number. The siren will chirp and the status light will flash as many times as the "Valet Switch" was pressed to indicate the feature that is now accessed.

    • 2). Cease pressing the "Valet Switch" once you find the feature you wish to reset. If you pass the feature you wish to reset, either continue pressing through features or wait 10 seconds and start from Step 2 of Section 1.

    • 3). Press the "Disarm/ Unlock" or the "Arm/ Lock" buttons until settings are restored to factory set up.

      The features at factory settings are:

      Feature 1) Secure Code: 1 press

      Feature 2) 30/ 60 Second Alarm Duration: 60 seconds

      Feature 3) 3/ 45 Second Arming Delay: 3 seconds

      Feature 4) Last Door Arming: off

      Feature 5) Automatic Re-arming: off

      Feature 6) Auxiliary Output #2 Also Disarms System: on

      Feature 7) Parking Light Illumination Upon Disarm: on

      Feature 8) Doors Lock When Ignition is Turned On: on

      Feature 9) Unlock #1 When Ignition is Turned Off: on

      Feature 10) Unlock #2 When Ignition is Turned Off: off

      Feature 11) Open Door Bypass of Ignition Locking: on

      Feature 12) Doors Lock With Last Door Arming: off

      Feature 13) Doors Lock With Automatic Re-arm: off

      Feature 14) Ignition Activated Vehicle Recovery: off

      Feature 15) Door Activated Vehicle Recovery: off

      Feature 16) Remote Activated Vehicle Recovery: off

      Feature 17) Chirp Confirmation: on

      Feature 18) Remote Start Run Time 10/ 20 Minutes: 10 minutes

      Feature 19) Steady/ Flashing Lights During Remote Start: steady

      Feature 20) Remote Start Pre-activation: off

      Feature 21) Steady Siren/ Pulsed Horn Output: steady siren

      Feature 22) Soft/ Loud Horn Confirmation Chirps: medium low

      Feature 23) 1/2 Button Arming or Disarming: 2 button operation

      Feature 24) Door Lock/ Unlock Pulse Duration: 0.8 second

      Feature 25) Double Unlock Pulse: off

      Feature 26) Total Closure Lock Output: off

      Feature 27) Gasoline/ Diesel Engine: gasoline

      Feature 28) Extended Starter Cranking Time: minimum

      Feature 29) "Tach Wire" or "Tachless" Starter Operation: "tachless"

      Feature 30) Stick Shift Remote Starting: "tachless"

      Feature 31) Turbo Timer: off
