- Loosen the bolt on the negative battery cable clamp with the wrench. Remove the battery cable from the battery terminal and set it aside to prevent shorting the vehicle's electrical system.
- Remove the factory stereo from the vehicle's stereo mounting dock. Consult your vehicle's repair manual for removal instructions. Disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the stock unit and set it aside.
- Insert the stereo's installation sleeve into the dock and bend the metal tabs inside with a flat screwdriver. Pull the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the vehicle's dock to the front of the dashboard. Plug the wiring harness adapter leads to the stereo wiring connectors. Plug the wiring harness adapter lead connectors to the outlets on the rear panel of the Pioneer radio. The signal wiring connects to the left side of the stereo's rear panel while the speaker wiring connects to the outlets on the opposite side.
Plug the antenna cable into the antenna input on the lower-left side of the Pioneer CD player's rear panel.
Slide the unit into the dashboard until it locks within the installation sleeve. - Replace any dashboard panels that were removed to extract the factory stereo. Return to the vehicle's battery and reconnect the negative battery cable to the negative battery terminal.
