How to Find an iPod touch's Serial Number

    • 1). Turn your iPod touch face-down and look on the back cover for the engraved serial number. The number is identified as "Serial No." or "S/N."

    • 2). Power on the iPod touch and tap "Settings," "General" and "About." The serial number displays on the screen.

    • 3). Locate the barcode label on your iPod touch's packaging. The serial number is listed on this label with the notation "S/N."

    • 4). Connect your iPod touch to your computer via the USB connector. Open iTunes. Click "iPod touch" under "Devices," and then click the "Summary" tab. Your serial number is listed on the screen.

    • 5). Open iTunes without connecting your iPod touch. Hold the "Ctrl" key and click "Help" and "About iTunes" if you are using a Windows system, or click "iTunes" and "About iTunes" if you are on a Mac. If your iPod touch was the last device connected to iTunes, its serial number will scroll on the screen.
