- 1). Fill a plastic zip-top bag halfway with white rice. Place the iPod into the bag, then fill it the rest of the way with rice and seal it.
- 2). Wait at least 24 hours. Remove the iPod from the bag of rice, then attempt to power it on. If the iPod doesn't turn on within the first five seconds of being plugged in, unplug it to prevent further damage.
- 3). Bring the iPod to a repair specialist. If drying the iPod out doesn't cause it to power back on, it is damaged beyond the possibility of a quick-fix repair.
