5 Tips for Fast Weight Loss

Weight loss does not need to be so confusing you need a physics degree.

The methodology is simple at least. Your body burns calories at a rate that is dependant upon your activity level. Therefore, eating more calories than it can burn causes weight gain and eating less than it can burn causes weight loss. Here is where it gets sticky though. You can't just cut the calories out and lose the weight in a healthy way. You will have to learn proper nutrition for this method to work by itself and that is a different article. There isn't a magic pill, trust me.

Luckily, utilizing 5 simple changes to your daily routine, you can watch that weight you gained over the winter melt away.

1. Drink Water. You see this on every site you look up when trying to learn to lose weight online. The truth is though that water does many things to assist you in your weight loss. Water makes you feel full longer with no caloric intake.

The water also aids in digestion, which assists your weight loss efforts. Honestly, water is the foundation to a healthier lifestyle and one of the best tools you have in the fight against fat.

2. Exercise. I know, it sounds redundant, but exercise is one of the two keystones to losing weight. Now, don't get exercise wrong. Anything that gets your muscles moving can be counted as exercise. If you are not working out at all right now, start slow. A brisk walk is a decent way to start. It will get your blood flowing and your muscles working.

Start with something that you can do comfortably enough to want to keep doing it. If you are currently working out, you can look up high intensity workouts. A HIT workout will blow your mind compared to a grueling set based lifting session that has you pushing a weight around like a flesh piston.

3. Learn proper nutrition. Nutrition is the second pillar in the grand scheme of weight loss. If you are working out like an animal, but you eat fast food afterwards, you are doing more harm than good. Your muscles are damaged during any strenuous exercise. That is how they grow and turn into a fat furnace. If you are not eating correctly, you are not feeding the furnace. This will cause your muscles to cannibalize themselves. A loss of muscle might as well be a gain in fat since it will not be there to burn the fat any longer.

4. Get a support group. This is integral. Having someone there to push you on the days you want to sandbag is a key to success. This is a classic example of synergy, one clydesdale can pull 17 tons, two working together can pull 45 tons. You need to have someone out there that can help you pull the extra weight.

5. Unlearn what you know. The human body is such an amazingly adaptive machine. Your body will stop responding to your routine if you don't change it. You have to change your routine, reps, weights, intensity, etc. often. If you keep droning away at the same routine day in and day out, you will surely lose any advantage to the work outs.

Personally, I like to change things drastically as often as I can. I will work out 3 days in a row one time and 4 or 5 the next. Or I will take three days off of the gym, lower my caloric intake, and then hit it really hard for a few days. You have to keep coming up with new chaos to put your body through. So there you have it. Five simple things to do that could lead to your goal weight in no time. The work part, is up to you. Good luck with your weight loss goals!
