The obesity epidemic is the most talked about subject of the century.
The overweight/obesity epidemic affects over 30% of the population in the US and is now on the rise throughout the world.
So one of the main question which is asked, is why are we a generations of people who are overweight.
We are a generation where our common practice/day is spent behind the computer and TV.
Gone are the days where children come home from school and play in the park or at the neighbours back yard.
These days children go home and play computer games, log on to Facebook etc.
We are much less active and this is coupled with fast food leads to obesity.
We eat more high fat and carbohydrate diets because it is convenient and its easy.
The problem being that then people are spending less and less time on their health and more time on things that contribute to the obesity epidemic.
Gone are the days where people come home and cook a health meal or spend time on exercise.
We all struggle with finding time with health eating and exercise.
Once someone becomes overweight, one of the places that shows the most visible fat is the belly (belly fat).
This is due to the fact that the belly fat is one of the places which is first to accumulate fat.
In order to lose weight in particular belly fat, one has to first of all educate themselves on the proper healthy diet as far as what is right and what is not.
The next step to take is to become more physically active.
This need not be hard or expensive since one can jog or walk around their neighborhood with little or no effort.
