How to Dye Hair Red with Natural Dyes

1

Pour the carrot and beet juice into a plastic bottle. Make sure that the bottle is completely clean and dry before you use it to store your hair dye. If there is residue from other food or cosmetic products in the bottle this can affect your hair.
2

Shake the mixture thoroughly. You will end up with a dark reddish-purple mixture.
3

Dampen your hair thoroughly with water. Although your hair should not be soaked, it should be quite damp. Make sure that you mist the lower layers of your hair with water as well as the top.
4

Work the juice mix through your hair. Make sure that you cover your hair from the roots to the tips. You may need half of the bottle or more depending on the length of your hair.
5

Sit in the sun for an hour. The sunshine will interact with the juices to emphasize and enhance your natural red highlights, undertones and shades.
6

Rinse your hair and style as usual. You may need to repeat the process several days in a row to see a marked difference. If you wish, you can repeat the process immediately as long as you let your hair dry before reapplying the juice mixture.
