Many people think that simply eating less will allow them to lose weight.
While this is true to a point, in the long run they are actually dooming themselves to failure.
It all boils down to one process, and that is metabolism.
Metabolism is the process of chemical reactions in the body that allow it to perform everyday functions to keep you alive.
When you eat less, your metabolism slows down because your body literally thinks you are starving.
This is it's natural response as it tries to conserve calories for survival.
Luckily, it is easy to reverse this process by simply eating several times per day.
Calorie shifting works by taking it one step further.
On this diet, you are allowed to eat foods that you would normally eat.
The trick to it is to confuse your body into thinking you are actually overeating, thus increasing your metabolism greatly.
In order to make calorie shifting work for you, it is important to get a target amount of calories and create a simple menu around this.
What you'll want to do it split that amount of calories into several meals which you will consume throughout the day.
The most important part is to make sure each meal is of different caloric value.
You could eat a large breakfast followed by a small lunch and a small dinner, then a snack before bed.
The next day you would reverse things and start the day off with a small breakfast, followed by a large lunch and a medium sized dinner.
This will work to confuse your body into thinking you are overeating, but as long as you stay within you caloric limit this technique will likely produce results within the first few weeks!
