It really drives me mad when I read about some new form of panic attacks treatment claiming to stop your panic attacks and eliminate your anxiety because all they are really doing is helping you cope with your situation and not helping you get rid of it once and for all.
They're always just some temporary bandage solution.
If you suffer from anxiety issues I'm sure you're already on some form of panic attacks treatment.
If you're still in the process of looking for a treatment to start, then let me tell you that there are two forms of treatment.
Those that treat the symptoms of panic and anxiety attacks and those that deal with eliminating the root cause of the problem.
For instance a lot of people talk about doing meditation and breathing exercises, however these are just techniques to help put you in a more relaxed state.
They will probably help you a little when you are starting to feel anxious about something but they won't deal with the reason your anxiety is coming up in the first place.
The same could be said about medications.
Although they are effective, you're really stuck taking these addictive drugs for as long as you want to be anxiety and depression free.
Associated side effects can cause other potential problems and it's just not a sustainable way to deal with you problem in the long term.
The other common panic attacks treatment ideas you may have come across are things like herbal anxiety remedies, exercising and eating a good diet.
Cutting out the caffeine and sugar and whatever else that entails.
All these methods will usually just lower your stress levels.
It will also help your mind and body work at its optimum whilst helping boost your feel good hormones.
For some that may help deal with minor anxiety issues but when you're facing the intense fear of panic attacks or even worse, repeated attacks and incidents then none of the above with help eliminate your anxiety for good.
In order to overcome your panic attacks and anxiety permanently you need to deal with the root cause of the problem.
You need to figure out what's causing you the fear and anxiety which lead to intense attacks.
If you can learn how to do that, then you're well on your way to having a permanent solution to overcoming your panic and anxiety attacks.
