Rub margarine into the permanent marker stains on the plastic. Leave the greasy substance on the stain for a few minutes to loosen them. - 2). Wipe the margarine off the plastic with paper towels. Blot the loosened marker stain with the towel until no more ink transfers to the paper towel.
- 3). Spray both the remaining permanent marker stain and the crayon stain with lubricating spray, such as those used to lubricate squeaky doors. Allow the lubricating spray to sit on the stains for a few minutes. Wipe the marker and crayon off with paper towels. Repeat this step until all traces of the stains have been removed.
- 4). Clean the plastic surface by spraying it with all-purpose cleaner. Wipe off the lubricating spray residue as well as the marker and crayon stains.
- 5). Remove any last trace of permanent marker or crayon stain left after cleaning the plastic by scrubbing it with lighter fluid. Dampen a clean cloth with lighter fluid then rub it into the plastic to remove the dye. Spray all-purpose cleaner on the plastic and wipe it off.
