- 1). Completely sweep the entire surface of your tile floor to remove loose dirt and debris.
- 2). Use a cotton coiled yarn mop, da pened in plain warm water, to wet the entire surface of the tile flooring. You want just enough moisture to wet the tile. This will prevent cleaner from seeping into the porous tile and possibly causing damage to your floor.
- 3). Fill a bucket with a mixture of two parts Lysol All Purpose Cleaner to one part water.
- 4). Use a cotton coiled yarn mop dampened in the solution to thoroughly scrub the tile floor. Make sure to pay special attention to the grout in between the tiles, where tough dirt and discoloration can accumulate.
- 5). Rinse the mop several times with clean hot water. Go over the entire tile floor to remove any remaining residue from the cleaning solution.
- 6). Fill a spray bottle two-thirds full of hot water and add one tablespoon of OxiClean. Shake to dissolve.
- 7). Spray any places on the grout that may still contain discoloration or stains.
- 8). Use a soft-bristled brush to scrub out the stains.
- 9). Wipe the area with a dry cotton cloth to absorb the uplifted stains.
