- Balloon arches are fun and a playful but enchanting entrance. A balloon arch creates a cave-like threshold that can be tailored to your school colors. You can add streamers and customize the size of the arch to fit the doorway.
- Flanking doorways with columns is classy and versatile. Columns can be made from large cardboard tubes and wrapped with vines and flowers in a spiral shape or left plain. Drape banners with your school color and name across the top for a personalized threshold into a homecoming party, or continue the flowers and vines across the top.
- Heavy drapes framing a doorway can make the entrance to a homecoming event feel like stepping onto a stage where the guests are the stars. Deep colors like burgundy or dark green and elaborate tassels and trims will make a curtained entrance feel more formal, but the colors can also be customized for your school. Hang a scalloped valance across the top with the school name, event theme and the year for extra detail.
- It's fun to walk into a dance feeling like a movie star, so making a red carpet entranceway will make attendees feel stylish and fancy. A small red runner going through the doorway can be framed around the edge of the door with a collage of the front of cameras so that it looks as if people are being photographed by paparazzi as they enter. Add colored stars between and around the camera faces to match school colors for a customized movie-star-inspired doorway.
