Buy a beach towel that fits your personality by style and color. It should be any average single size beach towel.

Cut 8 inches from width of the top and 2 2-inch strips.

Hem the just cut edge of the towel to have a finished edge.

Fold the towel in half with right sides together.

Mark the halfway point on the towel with a marker.

Take the 8-inch piece and sew it to the towel with cut edge lined up to the middle mark on the towel. Sew the piece together at the middle line and then sew lines to make pockets with this piece.

Sew the towel together on each side while right sides are still together.

Pick up the 2-inch strips and sew them right sides together.

Turn the 2-inch strips right side out.

Attach the 2-inch strips to the beach bag at the top.

Add a button and button hole for added decoration and function. Also you can add fringe and ribbon for decoration.
