- 1). Sweep or vacuum your laminate tile flooring once per day to remove dirt and dust. Doing this prevents scratches that can occur when larger pieces of dirt are stepped on. Sweeping is a must before mopping, as well.
- 2). Combine one part vinegar and one part hot water in a large bucket. Dip a sponge or microfiber mop into the liquid, wring out, and then mop the laminate tile. As an alternative, you can use a laminate floor cleaner found at hardware or grocery stores.
- 3). Use a toothbrush or small, soft-bristled brush to scrub between the tiles with the vinegar solution. These areas are prone to built-up dirt, and should be scrubbed at least once a week.
- 4). Immediately wipe up any spills that occur with a clean rag, especially liquids that are heavily pigmented (e.g., wine, blood, juice, ink).
- 5). Use a concentrated floor cleaner on stubborn stains. Pour 1 tablespoon of the cleaner on a clean rag and scrub the area. If the stain does not go away, repeat with a 1 tablespoon of acetone.
