Spray the hot tub surface with a nonabrasive bathroom cleaner. You can also use equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Wipe the tub thoroughly with a cloth or damp sponge to remove any dirt or debris. Wipe the control panel and the outside of the tub as well. Rinse thoroughly and dry the controls with a towel.

Fill the tub above the jets with hot water. Add 1/4 cup of powdered dishwasher detergent or 1/2 cup of bleach to the water. Turn on the jets for 15 minutes and turn them off. Drain the water from the tub.

Fill the tub above the jets with cold water. Turn on the jets for 15 minutes and turn them off. Drain the water and dry out the tub with a towel.
