How to Disable FN on a Dell Laptop

    • 1). Restart the Dell laptop computer. Hold down the "F2" key as the system boots up before Windows loads. The BIOS settings will load.

    • 2). Navigate to the “Advanced” or “System Configuration” (depending on laptop model) menu using the arrow keys.

    • 3). Highlight “Function Key Behavior” by selecting it with the arrows. Hit "Enter" and select “Function Key First.” This will revert the default behavior of the Function keys to their standard commands. Press “F10” to save your changes and exit the BIOS.
