- 1). Unscrew the clamp with the screwdriver that is holding the fuel hose from the gas tank onto the carburetor. Pull the hose off and direct it into the bucket to catch the old gas.
- 2). Spray the carburetor cleaner into the side of the carburetor for 10 seconds. Reattach the fuel hose and clamp it into place.
- 3). Unscrew the screw from the base of the carburetor to remove the carburetor's fuel bowl. Pull the fuel bowl off and dump out the old gas.
- 4). Spray carburetor cleaner into the fuel bowl and onto valves above the fuel bowl. Tighten the fuel bowl back on with the screwdriver.
- 5). Fill the gas tank with fresh gas.
