How to Remove Black Stains in Wood With Hydrochloric Acid

    • 1). Wet the surface with water. Paint the liquid labeled as "Part One" of the two-part cleaner onto the surface with the nylon brush. Allow 30 seconds for the agent to act.

    • 2). Scrub the surface with a stiff brush. This will remove the dissolved surface from the wood, removing the stain. Keep scrubbing until the stain is gone.

    • 3). Brush the liquid labeled as "Part Two" of the cleaning agent over the wood. Keep painting it until the color of the wood is to your liking. Scrub the surface lightly.

    • 4). Wash away all the cleaner with plenty of water. Allow the wood to dry before adding any new finishes to it.
