- The Imperial Porcelain Factory was established in 1744 by Elizaveta Petrovna as a way to create native art exclusively for the ruling Romanov family and the Russian Imperial Court.
- Russian mining engineer Dmitry Vinogradov is credited with inventing Russian Porcelain after studying the metal industry.
- Today the company produces fine pieces of porcelain products with a Russian theme. Products include cups, saucers, tea sets, coffee sets and vases. Products may be individualized to include logos, names or initials.
- The Imperial Porcelain Factory has a total of eight company stores throughout Russia. Stores are located in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
- American investing firm Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts briefly held a controlling interest in the factory in 1999 before losing controlling interest, which is now owned by Nikoil, a Russian oil company.
