- 1). Wet the stain with a garden hose, then pour some regular laundry or dry dishwasher detergent directly onto the stain.
- 2). Scrub the stain with a long-handled scrub brush or push broom.
- 3). Rinse the area thoroughly with a strong spray from a garden hose. If the stain remains, see Step 4.
- 4). Put on protective gloves.
- 5). Fill a spray bottle with chlorine bleach. Spray the stain and allow the bleach to sit for approximately 20 minutes.
- 6). Scrub the stained area with a long-handled scrub brush or push broom, then rinse the area with a strong spray from a garden hose.
- 1). Pour a thick layer of absorbent material such as sawdust, cat litter, cornmeal, dry concrete or fuller's earth to cover the stain. This method may only work if the grease stains are fresh.
- 2). Allow the absorbent material to sit on the stain for several hours.
- 3). Scrub the area with a soapy mixture of detergent and water using a long-handled scrub brush or push broom.
- 4). Rinse the area well with a garden hose.
