- 1). Click the "Start" button and then click the "Search" box. Type "Device Manager" into the search box and press the "Enter" button.
- 2). Wait for the "Device Manager" window to come up. This should take about two seconds, depending on the type of computer you have.
- 3). Click on the "+" sign next to the "DVD/CD-ROM drives" option in the Device Manager. This expands the menu to reveal the CD burner.
- 4). Compare the listing in the "Device Manager" to the CD burner installed. If you don't see a listing in the "Device Manager," the burner is not installed properly. Contact a computer technician to install the burner properly.
- 1). Click the "Start" button and then click the "Search" box. Type "Device Manager" into the search box and press the "Enter" button.
- 2). Wait for the "Device Manager" window to open up. This should take a few seconds.
- 3). Right click on the "DVD/CD-ROM" entry.
- 4). Click on the "Update Driver" option in the menu. Wait for the driver to update. This should take about 30 seconds to complete.
- 5). Click the "Restart" option in the menu that appears to restart your computer with the new driver installed.
