Coil Burners
1Remove the burners and drip pans when they are cool.

Place the burners and drip pans in a sink of hot, soapy water.

Add 1 cup of undiluted white vinegar to the sink.

Allow the burners and pans to soak for about 20 minutes.

Moisten a rag with white vinegar and use it to wipe down the stovetop.

Create a paste with baking soda and a few drops of water. Rub this paste onto any areas of the stove that have dried food stains.

Rinse the rag in clean water and wipe the stove down.

Dry the stove with a clean, dry cloth.

Scrub the burners and drip pans clean with a cleaning sponge. Sprinkle baking soda onto your sponge if you have any stubborn residue.

Rinse the burners and pans.

Dry the burners and drip pans with a clean cloth and return them to the stove.
Flat Top Stoves
1Wipe down the stovetop with a warm, soapy rag once the stove is cool.

Wipe the stove dry with a clean, dry cloth.

Squirt a few drops of glass stovetop polish onto a paper towel.

Rub the polish over the stovetop with small, circular strokes and let the polish dry for several minutes.

Wipe off the polish with a clean paper towel.
