- 1). You will be assessed a penalty if your ball has been deemed unplayable. This results in a one-stroke penalty and a drop. You must drop the ball as close as possible to the spot of the old ball, within two club lengths.
- 2). Hitting your ball out of bounds will result in a one-stroke penalty. Plus, you will need to play your second shot from the spot of the original shot.
- 3). Hitting your ball into the water will cost you a penalty, but you will have two options from which to choose. Your first option is to take a one-stroke penalty and return to the spot of the original shot to re-play. Your second option is to take a one-stroke penalty and drop a ball behind the water hazard.
- 4). Removing any loose impediment that causes the ball to move results in a one-stroke penalty. If you remove impediment on the green and this causes your ball to move within one club length of its position, you are assessed a one-stroke penalty. You must then return the ball to the original spot.
- 5). If during your address, the ball moves without your touching it, you are assessed a one-stroke penalty. The ball is replaced to its original spot.
- 6). Putting your ball on the green into the hole while the flag stick is still in, will result in a two-stroke penalty. You or your caddy can remove the stick to avoid penalty.
- 7). Verify your scorecard before submitting it to officials. If you sign your card and the score is lower than your actual total, you will be disqualified from the event.
- 8). Carry only the required number of clubs in your bag. You are allowed only 14 clubs. If you have more in your bag, you will be assessed a loss of the hole for each hole on which the breach occurred during match play, up to two holes max. You are assessed two strokes per hole in a stroke play match.
