Did you know that exercise plays an important role in helping you lower your risk of BPH? In fact hundreds of studies have been conducted that states that one of the primary reasons that people contract chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease is due to lack of exercise.
Well, if you have BPH, exercise should be apart of your regular daily routine.
In a study done during the late 90's researches found that men who were physically active were less likely to suffer from BPH than those men who sat in front of the TV watching hours of television.
BPH is a condition in which your prostate starts to enlarge.
Doctors start to watch your prostate when you turn 50 because that is around the time when it starts to enlarge.
Having BPH does not mean you have cancer but it does mean you will have frequent urination, straining when urinating and weak urinary stream.
Doctors are not sure what the causes BPH but know that high testosterone levels present in the body is what contributes to the enlargement.
So why is exercise important? Being active helps balance and lower your levels of testosterone your body produces which lowers your risk.
So doing regular exercise helps you lose weight but also help keep you healthy on the inside out.
Walking, jogging, or even taking classes at the gym are simple things you can do to protect yourself.
If you work at a job that requires movement and lifting like farming or contracting, are also at less risk than those who have a desk job.
Bottom line is: your body was made to move.
If you want to protect your body from BPH exercising a couple of hours a week and eating the right foods will help.
