- 1). Turn off the Sprint and unplug from the power supply. Push down on the handle release pedal to lower the handle horizontally.
- 2). Turn the Sprint over and insert a flat screwdriver blade into the indent on the bottom plate near the right side of the nozzle. Push gently to open the right side of the plate. Repeat on the left side to open and lift out the plate.
- 3). Remove the agitator, which looks like a cylinder with a brush, and set aside. Note how the belt is looped over the pulley and motor. Remove the belt and loop the new belt over the belt guide. Replace the agitator back into the nozzle and return the agitator inside. The belt should be flat inside the nozzle.
- 4). Set the tabs on the bottom plate into the slots on the handle and push the plate back into place. Turn the vacuum over and place the screwdriver into the slot next to one of the rear wheels and push slightly to open the hood latch. Set aside the nozzle control knob, which comes off when the hood is opened.
- 5). Turn the vacuum back over and remove the hood. Take the new belt and pull it over the motor drive pulley, spinning it slightly when in place to ensure it is positioned properly. Return the hood and push into place. Reconnect the nozzle control knob before use.
