Did you know that you could do all the ab exercises in the world and still never see the results? That is because you need to be below 10% body fat for men and 16% body fat for women.
Most people are not that slender and typical ab exercises do not burn enough calories to make a difference.
To burn enough calories to actually see the results of your ab workouts you need an awesome workout so this is what I'll give you.
You are going to start working out with kettle bell.
This is a device that looks like a cannon ball with a handle.
You can do many more exercises with this than you can a bar bell or dumb bell and working out with it will burn as many as 20 calories a minute.
Men use a 35 lb bell and women use a 25 lb bell.
The first thing you are going to do is a two handed swing.
Simply squat down and grab the KB with both hands and swing it out in front of you up to your shoulders.
Your hips, back and abs should be doing all the work, not your arms.
Do this 15 times.
Next you are going to do what are called halos.
Start by holding the KB at your chest by the handle with it bottom up toward your chin.
Circle the KB around your head in one direction 10 times and then the other direction 10 times.
Now we will do figure 8s with a lift.
You will pass the KB in a figure 8 pattern between your legs but each time you pass the KB to another hand you will stand up with it briefly and hold it at your chest before bending down and resuming the figure 8 pattern.
Do this 15 times.
It may sound simple and even useless.
But you will be incredibly winded almost as soon as you start.
Repeat the cycle as many times as you can with only a short rest between sets.
