How to Replace a Dispenser in a Kenmore Dishwasher

Disconnect the power to the dishwasher by turning off the breaker in your fuse box.

Open the dishwasher door, then remove the screws on the outside rim of the inside of the door so that the front panel can be removed.

Hold the front panel in place, then close the dishwasher door. Remove the front panel once the door is closed.

Disconnect the two wires connected to the side of the dispenser by pulling them off, then remove the four mounting screws holding the dispenser in place.

Open the dishwasher door, then pull the old dispenser out of the door from the inside.

Insert the new dispenser into the door, then secure using the mounting screws that were removed.

Reconnect the wires that were connected to the old dispenser, then replace the outer door panel. Secure the outer door panel by reinstalling the screws on the inside of the dishwasher door.

Restore power to the dishwasher to complete the installation of the new dispenser.
