- 1). Locate the opening at the bottom of the balloon between the two layers of mylar.
- 2). Slip this opening gently over the nozzle of the helium tank, being careful to not puncture the mylar or the valve inside the opening.
- 3). Place your hand around the mylar over the nozzle and clench the balloon's neck to create a seal.
- 4). Turn on the helium tank with your other hand.
- 5). Inflate the balloon with helium until most of the wrinkles are gone. Do not over-inflate a balloon, which could cause it to burst because the mylar does not stretch.
- 6). Pull the balloon quickly off the nozzle of the helium tank. The valve will seal on its own as soon as the nozzle comes out of it.
