Before you invest in yet another diet, you want to know whether it is going to work for you.
You've probably seen the ads for Medifast and been surprised at the size of some of the weight losses.
It can make you wonder if the Medifast diet really does work? All I can really tell you is that it worked and continues to work for me.
I have been on and off Medifast a few times over the past few years.
I started out with over a 100 lbs to lose and I now need to lose about 50.
There's been some slipping and sliding, but then I get back to the program and keep on with it.
The first time I tried Medifast, I lost weight very quickly.
It was at least 20 lbs in the first month and over three months I lost about 60 lbs total.
Then I got lazy and stopped doing Medifast perfectly.
I was eating food I shouldn't have and then I just stopped doing the plan and didn't place another order.
So I gained some weight.
This is what happens.
I'm sure you know it and it has happened to you.
Almost all dieters gain back the weight once they stop dieting.
Now I'm back on the program and I'm losing weight again.
So the Medifast diet really does work for me.
I think it can work for you too.
But the key of course, if you want to keep your weight off, is to change your lifestyle so you don't go back to the same old habits that got you fat in the first place.
This is something I'm still working on.
But at least I know I can lose the weight now with Medifast and then while I'm trying to get to goal weight, I can work on the things that got me to being so overweight.
