Five Must See Stops for NYC Vacations

If you could make a Theme Park a city, it would have to be New York City.
There is so much to do you would need several NYC Vacations just to see scratch the surface.
While I have been to the Big Apple a several times now there are still a few places I personally enjoy whether its taking in the city from the top of the Empire State building or flying the flight simulator on the USS Intrepid Museum.
The possibilities are endless but I would like to share with you a few of my favorite spots.
The first I have already mentioned, the USS Intrepid.
As a sailor myself I always enjoy checking out old Navy warships and this one is no different.
The USS Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum is a unique journey filled with spectacular interactive exhibits and virtual, multi-sensory technology.
The World War II warship is filled with 30 restored aircraft, former USS Growler submarine and the British Airways Concorde.
This is a great stop, especially for the kids.
As a side note I attended a party onboard the USS Intrepid back in 2002, the curators really know how to treat there guests.
If you are there during fleet week don't miss the coveted US Navy Leap Frog Parachute team.
Let's not forget Rockefeller Center If you have seen any movie with the most impressive Christmas tree and and wonderland of ice skating in downtown Manhattan then you have already seen one of my favorite spots, Rockefeller Center.
Sloping up from 5th avenue and 50th you can stroll up too this towering giant gleaming with genuine 1930's architecture.
Inside you will be greeted with a Crystal Chandelier on your way to a glass floor elevator ready to take you to the top.
Its impressive from the bottom but you should see the view from the top.
(Just a hint if you have a New York Pass you can bypass the lines and stroll right to the top.
) My advice, don't leave the city without taking in the view from the observation deck at night.
Times Square, need I say more.
Between Street shows a sea of cabs and the largest TV Screens and ads that I have ever seen, Times square is flat out a Carnival full of good times where a constant buzz of street music fills the air.
Most of the major Theaters are located right in the vicinity of Times square so you can eat at one of many restaurants and then hit an ever so popular broadway show.
During the day you can hit Ripley's Believe It or Not and the my next recommended stop Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum comes highly recommended by my wife as I was unable to make it last time.
Madame Tussauds is conveniently located right in the heart of Times Square and is filled with over 200 celebrities from the worlds of film, TV, history, politics, music, and sports, all lined up to provide you with the experience of a lifetime.
If a wax museum sounds like a boring time thing again, Madame Tussauds boasts a 4D Theater allowing you to experience movie attributes such as cold wind rain and snow and smell.
Lastly towering a quarter mile above the ground, lies the pinnacle of NYC Vacations, the Empire State Building Observatory.
Here you are treated to breathtaking panoramas across the rooftops, avenues and byways of the New York Metropolitan areas, to as far away as four neighboring states.
On the second floor you can also take a New York City Skyride.
The Skyride is a simulated aerial trek over City.
If your interested in Making the Trip to the City, I would highly recommend it at least once.
I just scratched the surface with these stops.
New York City is a great mix of Vegas, Disney and a trip into an American History textbook if you want all rolled into one.
