Pour 1 quart of fresh, cold water into a spray bottle. Squirt the water liberally onto the urine-stained carpet.

Glide a wet/dry shop vacuum's attachment over the wet, stained carpet to draw out the old urine.

Scatter an enzyme-based odor neutralizer liberally over the soiled carpet. Wait 10 minutes for the natural enzymes to dissolve the dried urine stain and odor.

Vacuum the carpet to draw out the enzyme-based neutralizer.

Examine the carpet for dried urine fragments or odor after 24 hours. If either remains, apply the enzyme-based odor neutralizer to the carpet as previously. Vacuum the carpet like before.
