• Nampa, Idaho, has a population of approximately 75,000 people, making it one of the largest cities in the state. As such, it offers a variety of dining options, including fondue. Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant is the only fondue establishment in Nampa. It's in a building that dates to the late 19th century and once served as the town's blacksmith shop.
  
  

Set Up

• All the food at Mona Lisa is cooked at your table. Cheese fondue is used for the first course of fruits, vegetables and bread. The meats for the main course are grilled at the table, and dessert brings another fondue pot filled with either chocolate or caramel.
  
  

A La Carte Menu

• Mona Lisa offers guests two basic menu options--a la carte or dinner for two. The al a carte menu allows you to choose from a selection of cheese blends that include cheddar, Gruyere, Emmenthaler, brie, Swiss and Fontina cheeses in either a beer or white wine base. Available meats for your a la carte entree include filet mignon, seafood, chicken breast and a shrimp and filet mignon combination. Dessert fondues include white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and vanilla caramel. When ordering a la carte, you will be charged per dish that you order.
  
  

Fondue for Two

• For a fixed price you can order the Fondue for Two option, which includes all four courses for two people. You get a choice of Caesar or garden salad. You'll also get a serving of apples, strawberries, grapes, vegetables and bread to dip in your choice of the cheese fondue. You can choose from filet mignon, lemon herb chicken, teriyaki filet, tiger shrimp, pork tenderloin and Cajun alligator bratwurst on the Traditional Entree Platter menu. Or you can choose lobster tail, yellow fin tuna, Chesapeake Bay scallops, large gulf tiger shrimp or Atlantic salmon from the seafood menu. The seafood menu costs more than the traditional menu. The Fondue for Two also comes with your choice of dessert fondue, served with strawberries, bananas and cheesecake.
  
  

Special Events

• Mona Lisa offers a separate private room for guests who plan to propose marriage. It has a private table, a sofa and a fireplace and can be decorated with your choice of flowers. The restaurant also offers a special package for couples celebrating an anniversary. It's called Message in a Bottle. They'll put a message that you write for your loved one into a bottle and store it away, so that when you come back the next year you can open it and read what each other wrote.
