Why? Sitges is famous for its carnival celebrations. Except to party all night long! Sitges is the gay capital of Spain, but the partying can be embraced by any sexuality.

When? The later the better

Why? For the weather! If you want warm weather but you have to travel in February, the south coast of Spain is the best option after the Canary Islands (see above). But while most visitors head west from Malaga to the concrete jungles of Fuengirola and other monstrosities, the smart traveler heads east to the pleasant village of Nerja and surroundings.
