If you have found an RV dealer in your town and are thinking about purchasing a vehicle from them you should ask some of the following questions.
Is there a guarantee? Most dealerships offer a short limited warranty of one to three months.
Some do not.
You can normally get this warranty extended to one or two years by paying an extra premium.
The warranties normally only cover mechanical breakdown and do not cover fixtures and fittings pertaining to what is the 'living area'.
Is there any Financing available? Find out is there is financing available.
Most dealers have a selection of offers available so you can make comfortable monthly payments What of the vehicle's history? Try and discover where the vehicle has come from and where it has been used.
If a vehicle has been used a lot in the north where it rains a lot then there is a high chance of it having rust problems.
If it has been used where it snows a lot then there is the possibility that it could have salt corrosion but if it has been used mainly in the south then problems are much less likely.
Ask the sales staff for their advice.
If they are a good dealer then the advice they will give you should be impartial so you will come back to them in a few years time when you want to renew your motorhome.
