- 1). Remove the rear taillights by loosening the fastening screws with a screwdriver.
- 2). Turn the vehicle's ignition so that it is in the power-on position but don't start the engine. Turn the left turn signal on.
- 3). Fasten the 12-volt test light ground connection to a bare piece of metal near the left turn light. A bolt head makes a good ground.
- 4). Probe the bare wires at the taillight to find which one powers the left signal. The test light will illuminate when you have found the correct wire. Mark this wire "left signal." Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the right signal and marker lights.
- 5). Run the four-way harness wires past the edge of a body panel in the cargo area and into the taillight socket.
- 6). Connect the green wire on the harness to the right turn signal's power wire with a Scotch connector. This connector works by placing one wire in each groove and closing the gate. Connect the yellow wire to the left turn signal, the brown wire to the marker lights and the white wire to a ground connection. Chrysler uses a black wire as its ground.
- 7). Attach the loose wires to the interior body of the vehicle with cable ties. Wrap all of the connections with electrical tape.
- 8). Test the four-way harness. Connect it to a trailer and observe that the lights operate correctly.
