Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Read the manufacturer's directions on cleaning the glass if it is still under warranty. Using anything to clean the glass that is not recommended will void the warranty and you will have no recourse with the manufacturer if you find the glass or door system is defective.
2
Remove the doors and place them flat on an old blanket if you cannot effectively reach them while they are attached. Make sure the doors are cool before cleaning or removing.
3
Place some fireplace glass cleaner on a clean, soft rag and rub on the glass in a circular motion. Cover all the glass on the doors and allow the paste to dry.
4
Wipe the dried paste off with clean paper towels. If any dirt or soot is left remaining on the glass, repeat the cleaning procedure in those areas.
5
Make a 1 part white vinegar to 1 part water solution and pour into a spray bottle. Spray on the glass after cleaning and wipe off with a paper towel. This will remove any residue left from the soot or the cleaner. Reattach the doors to the fireplace.
