- 1). Right-click the "My Computer" icon located on your desktop and select the "Properties" option. Alternatively, go to "Control Panel" and click "System."
- 2). Click the "Advanced" tab and under the Startup and Recovery section, select "Settings."
- 3). Uncheck "Automatically Restart," which will stop the computer from restarting automatically when a blue screen error appears, giving you time to interpret it.
