How to Block Ports in Windows

    • 1). Click the "Start" button and select the "Run" option.

    • 2). Type "Firewall.cpl" into the Run window and then click the "OK" button.

    • 3). Select the "On" option on the "General" tab and then click the "OK" button. The firewall is immediately turned on and blocks all ports that are not explicitly unblocked. You can unblock a port using the "Exceptions" portion of the Firewall control panel.
