- Kawasaki introduced the Concours motorcycle in 1986. In 2006, the company brought out a new model with updated adjustments and modifications. These sport touring vehicles feature -- for the 2008 and later models -- a digitally fuel injected ZX-14 engine with variable valve timing.
- The 2010 model Concours has a 1,352 cubic-cm, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine with four cylinders in an inline configuration and 16 valves in a dual overhead camshaft configuration. The cylinders have a bore of 3.31 inches, a stroke of 2.4 inches and a compression ratio of 10.7 to 1. The engine is capable of producing 102 lb.-ft of torque at 6,200 rpm.
- The 2010 model Concours features dual floating 12.2-inch petal disc brakes in the front with four-piston calipers and an optional anti-lock brake system. It has a single 10.63-inch petal disc brake in the rear. Its front tires are 120/70 ZR-17; its rear tires are 190/50 ZR-17. Its front suspension is a telescopic fork with adjustable rebound damping and spring preload with 4.4 inches of travel; its rear suspension is a Tetra-lever with stepless rebound and a remote spring preload adjuster with 5.4 inches of travel.
- The 2010 Kawasaki Concours has a wheelbase length of 59.8 inches. The motorcycle measures 89.4 inches long, 30.7 inches wide and 50.8 inches high. Its seat height is 32.1 inches, with a curb weight of 670.3 lb. Its fuel tank capacity is 5.8 gallons.
