- 1). Open Internet Explorer and then click on "Tools," which is found on the top, right corner of the computer screen.
- 2). Click the "Internet Options" choice from the drop-down menu and then click the "Security" tab.
- 3). Select the "Restricted Sites" choice displayed with a red icon found beneath where it reads "Select a zone to view or change security settings."
- 4). Select the "Sites" tab in the text box located under where the site says "Add this website to the zone:" and then type the URL address for the proxies you want to filter in Windows.
- 5). Click the "Add" tab to filter the proxies you have just entered. Add as many proxies as you want to filter and then click "OK" when you have finished.
- 1). Open up the Firefox Internet browser and navigate to the Mozilla Firefox support page (see Resources) to access a list of filtering add-ons that will allow you to block any websites you want, including proxies.
- 2). Click an add-on from the list shown within the Mozilla Firefox support page. Some of the choices are free and some require payment.
- 3). Click either the "Add to Firefox" or "Continue to Download" prompt for your chosen add-on to download it. Select the tab that reads "Accept and Install" to continue with the installation process. Then select the "Install Now" tab on the pop-up window that will appear on your screen. The FoxFilter is a popular add-on because it is free and has a good reputation.
- 4). Reboot your Firefox browser when the prompt to do so appears. When it reopens, you'll have the Internet security blocks initiated, and you will be able to enter all the proxies you want to filter in the add-on you chose to use.
