How to Connect a DVD-R With a Coax

    • 1). Turn off the power to the DVD recorder and unplug the component's electrical cable from the wall socket.

    • 2). Push the metal ferrule at the end of the coaxial cable onto the threaded input jack on the back of the DVD recorder. The jack extends from the back of the unit approximately 1/2 inch. Make sure the metal pin in the center of the cable inserts in the small hole within the jack.

    • 3). Tighten the metal ferrule on the cable clockwise. This holds the connection securely.

    • 4). Plug in the power cord for the DVD recorder.
