Beaded star crafts look charming all year round but are especially festive during Christmas. Create easy beaded star crafts to use as home decor, gifts or holiday party favors. If you're hosting a children's Christmas party, set up a craft table and encourage them to make their own simple beaded star treasures. - Add sparkle to your Christmas tree with a handmade beaded, star-shaped ornament. Make several and fill your entire tree with them, or design one or two as crafty tree accents. These creative ornaments also make thoughtful holiday gifts for anyone on your list. Buy a 4-inch metal star ornament form to use for the project base. Slide plastic or glass beads onto each of the star's spokes in any pattern or arrangement. Use all silver or iridescent white beads for a snowflake-inspired design. Silver and shiny dark blue beads will give the ornament an icy winter-wonderland look. Other bead color combinations include festive red and green or elegant silver and gold. Use a mix of seed, tube, faceted and round beads for a varied look. After a spoke is filled with beads, twist the end with needle-nose pliers to secure the embellishments into place. Loop a string through the top for hanging.
- Kids can make easy wooden star crafts using wooden craft sticks and beads. Children can use the stars to decorate an outer-space-inspired bedroom or a themed birthday party space. Use a hot glue gun to attach 10 craft sticks together to form a five-pointed star shape. Cover the stars with yellow, midnight blue, gold or silver craft paint and allow them to completely dry. Spread craft glue over the tops of the painted stars and have kids decorate them with sparkling silver or gold flat-backed beads. You can loop a string through each star so children can display them on walls or doorknobs.
- Design a shimmering handmade birthday card to make the celebrant feel like a star for a day. Star-inspired cards also make ideal holiday greetings. Start by folding an 8-inch by 10-inch piece of card stock in half either width- or lengthwise to form a card. Use any color paper to coordinate with the party or holiday theme. Glue flat-backed beads to the front of the card in a star-shaped pattern. Write a special message, such as "You're a Star" across the top of the card using a silver or gold glitter-glue pen.
