  Ornamental trees are favorites among homeowners for the eye-catching beauty of their flowers or foliage. Their main value is usually not to provide shade, but to provide ornamental qualities. The most popular ornamental trees usually have unique defining features such as bark, fruit or scent. Flowering ornamental trees draw attention to the landscape and may be selected for uniqueness, fall color or foliage texture. Some ornamental trees have a unique form that is attractive with or without leaves. These trees can be deciduous or evergreen.
  
  

Flowering Dogwood

• The flowering dogwood is one of the most admired ornamental trees in the eastern part of the United States. Many people choose this tree for its beautiful early spring flowers in shades of pink or white.
