- Etching is the process of eating away parts of a metal plate to produce recessed areas that are later inked and pressed onto paper.
- Planographic printing involves printing from a flat surface upon which areas are treated to repel or retain the printing medium. Types include lithography, silk-screening and mono-printing.
- Digitograf refers to digitally printing artworks onto a canvas using acid-free, oil-based inks. It is typically printed using an eight-color printer for an extremely high resolution.
- Giclee or Iris printing is a computerized reproduction process in which the artwork is printed from a digital file with an inkjet printer using ink, oil paints or acrylic paints.
- Other methods of art printing include aquatint, mezzotint, dry point, blind, intaglio and collagraph.
