Should You Be Using a Facial Cleanser Cream?

Do you remember the old movies where a woman wearing a beautiful nightgown would sit in front of her vanity and slather on facial cleanser cream and then, with dramatic flair, pull four or five tissues out of a fancy box and wipe it off? Back then we didn't know that this was NOT the way to cleanse your face.
Today we know that if we want clean, healthy skin, then avoiding heavy facial cleanser cream is the best way to go.
But this leads to the question, "what kind of facial cleansers should I be using?" Even though cleansing your face sounds relatively simple, there are some important things to consider if you want to achieve good results.
Good skin care is no longer a cosmetic issue...
it is an important health issue.
Following three simple, but important steps, can make a huge difference in the way your face looks, feels and consistently improves.
1.
Step One: Cleanse your face the RIGHT way
.
The number one mistake you should avoid at all costs is to overcleanse your face.
You don't need to wash your face more than ONCE a day.
The best time is right before your go to bed.
While its important to remove dirt and grime, you should avoid harsh bar soap and facial cleansers.
These severe cleansers can strip the natural oils from the skin on your face and neck, leaving your skin feeling uncomfortably tight and dry.
Using gentle facial cleansers that contain high concentrations of active, natural ingredients, like Kaolin and bentone gel, are very effective at getting rid of dirt while leaving your face and neck luxuriously soft.
Just be sure that your rinse the cleanser off with warm water.
Contrary to conventional advice that tells you that rising with hot or cold water is good for the pores, warm water is best.
2.
Step Two: Exfoliate every one or two weeks.
Exfoliation is an essential skin care method for removing the build up of dead skin and toxins secreted from your body through your skin.
I have found that my skin seems to really respond to regular exfoliation.
If you want your exfoliating treatment to be safe and effective, then DO NOT buy cheap scrubs that use big grains.
They can really tear and damage your skin.
You can find some great scrubs that contain tiny, but gentle and effective grains.
3.
Step Three: Hydrate and nourish with nature-based moisturizers.
Step Three puts the finishing touch on a highly effective skin care routine.
Unlike heavy facial cleanser cream, a high quality, nature-based moisturizer is going to nourish your skin cells and promote their healthy function.
My personal approach to using moisturizers is the same as facial cleansers - I only use products that contain high concentrations of natural, active ingredients.
The moisturizer that has worked so well for me contains macadamia nut and avocado oils.
I use the "dime-size" principle when applying this luxuriously-rich facial moisturizer.
I have a lot more information at my website about the good and bad skin care ingredients you need to know about.
Believe it or not, the majority of skin care products continue to contain ingredients that are bad for you.
I also go into more detail about the nature-based facial cleansers and skin care products that my skin has had the good fortune to benefit from.
Facial cleanser cream may be a thing of the past, but healthy skin care never goes out of style.
