How do I Install Chrysler Pacifica Trailer Lights?

    • 1). Open up the Pacifica's rear hatch and unbolt the taillights from the body with the 3/8-inch ratchet, extension and sockets. Pull the taillight out, and pull the red tab on the back of the taillights out with the flathead screwdriver to allow you to unplug the taillight from the stock harness. Set the taillights to the side.

    • 2). Pull out the rubber grommet on the driver's side taillight cavity with your hands. Locate the red wire on the wire harness. Cut a slit in the grommet with the razor blade and push the red harness through the grommet. Install the grommet into the body again. Run the passenger side trailer harness wiring down through the hole in the bumper underneath the driver's side taillight.

    • 3). Plug the t-connection on the trailer wiring harness into the factory taillight harness and push the other end into the back of the taillight. Push the red tab back into the light and reinstall the taillight on the body with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket.

    • 4). Peel off the double sided tape on the converter box on the trailer wiring harness. Stick it to the metal plate on the driver's side of the Pacifica, underneath the bumper. Run the passenger side of the wire underneath the bumper and up through the hole in the passenger side of the bumper, securing the line to the bumper with zip ties. Secure the 4-pole trailer wiring plug to the hitch with the zip ties.

    • 5). Connect the t-fitting on the trailer wiring harness and plug it into the passenger side taillight harness on one end, and into the taillight on the other end. Reinstall the taillight with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Pop the hood. Install the fuse with the trailer wiring harness into the fuse panel, in the fifth open fuse hole over from the passenger side of the fuse box.
