- 1). Connect the floating handle of the automatic pool cleaner to the top of the pool cleaner. Lock the handle in place by screwing it on tightly.
- 2). Place the power supply for the automatic pool cleaner at least 12 feet away from the edge of the water. Plug the power supply into a grounded power outlet.
- 3). Run the floating power cable from the pool cleaner to the power supply and plug the cable into the power supply. Make sure that you spread the floating cable evenly across the surface of the pool and that enough slack exists to allow the automatic pool vacuum access to all pool areas.
- 4). Place the vacuum into the pool while holding onto the floating handle. Submerge the vacuum completely, and then shake the vacuum back and forth remove any air bubbles from the system.
- 5). Release the vacuum and allow it to settle on the pool bottom. Turn the power switch on the power supply to the on position to begin the automatic pool vacuum cleaning. Depending on the model type, the vacuum will operate in a random cleaning pattern or in a pre-programmed one, sweeping up dirt and debris from the pool bottom. When the vacuum has covered the entire pool bottom, turn the power to off and retrieve the vacuum from the pool.
