Specifications for a Kawasaki KDX 200

    • The Kawasaki KDX 200 is a mid-level, off-road motorcycle that was manufactured until 2006. It is part of the KDX series of off-road motorcycles, and the "200" stands for the class of engine displacement. All KDX series motorcycles kept a similar set of specifications since they were introduced in 1996.

    Dimensions and Exterior

    • The Kawasaki KDX 200 is 48.4 inches in height, 35.0 inches in width, 56.5 inches in wheelbase and 13.4 inches in ground clearance. Seat height at its lowest setting is 36.2 inches. Total weight measures at 222.6 lbs., which does not include a maximized fuel capacity of 2.90 gallons. The exterior comes equipped with rubber hand grips, hand guards, front- and rear-plastic fenders, exterior guards and a kick stand.

    Engine and Transmisssion

    • The KDX 200 comes with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, two-stroke engine in reed valve configuration. The bore and stoke are 2.6 and 2.3 inches respectively, and the compression ratio is 7.9:1. This produces an engine with a displacement of 198 cc, which is fueled by a single-35 mm Keihin PWK35 carburettor. The engine is activated by a kick start, and is controlled by a six-speed electronic CDI transmission. The final drive is chain driven.

    Chassis

    • The high-tensile steel perimeter chassis has a 26.5-degree fork angle with a fork diameter of 1.7 inches. The front of the motorcycle is fitted with 43-mm conventional cartridge fork suspension and a 80/90-21 tire. The rear is fitted with a UNI-TRAK single-shock system and a 100/80-18 tire. Single-disc brakes are installed in both the front and rear.
